ENGLAND's Jack Leach, a star in , was concussed and had to be taken off against New Zealand.
The 30-year-old spin bowler fell awkwardly on his forehead while trying to stop the ball from reaching the boundary during the morning session of the Lord's Test.

England has the chance to hire a replacement for concussion, but no announcement has been made.
It happened in the sixth over. England was off to a great start with five wickets and 22 runs.
Jimmy Anderson was the leader with two wickets, he also dismissed New Zealand's openers Tom Latham (and Will Young) for a total of two runs.
Matty Potts, a debutant, then joined the action by taking Kane Williamson's first wicket.

The 23-year old's day was made even better when he bowled Daryl Mitchell shortly after, putting England in commanding position.
Minutes later, Potts was on cloud nine when he took a third wicket and dismissed Tom Blundell.
The start of his team will delight Ben Stokes, the new captain, and the selectors who chose Durham star Potts.
