The 34,000-seater pop-up stadium will host eight matches at the T20 World Cup

Cricket fans believe the event will be ‘huge’ for the sport in the USA

In total, nine venues will be used including three in the US, who will make their debut at the World Cup.

Alongside stadiums in Florida and Texas, a new ground has been built in Long Island, New York.

The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium has been constructed as a temporary venue for the tournament.

It will host eight matches including India vs Pakistan on June 9.

Holding 34,000 fans, the stands will be removed after the event, leaving just a field.

A video shared to X less than three weeks ahead of the first match shows the stadium looking match-ready.

Roofless stands and floodlights surround the pitch, which is already set up with a boundary and creases.

The footage has excited fans about the prospect of top level cricket coming to the USA this summer.

As well as the three US host venues, six stadiums will be used across the West Indies in Antigua, Barbados, Guyana, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.

England will be looking to defend the title they won in Australia two years ago as Jos Buttler captains the two-time champions.

His side face Scotland, Australia, Oman and Namibia in the group stage.
