Jason Roy, England cricketer, has been given a two-game suspension and a PS2,500 fine.
The opening batsman was charged with 'conducting yourself in a way that may be prejudicial'.
Jason Roy was hit with a two-game suspension
On Tuesday, the ECB confirmed that Roy's ban would be lifted for 12 months subject to good behavior.
The nature of the incident, for which he was punished by the ECB, was not made public.
Roy, 31 years old, is expected to play a major role in England's plans for the T20 World Cup in Australia later in the year.
To spend more time at home, he recently resigned from his contract in the Indian Premier League with the Gujarat Titans.
The ECB statement stated: "A Disciplinary panel of the Cricket Discipline Commission have sanctioned Jason Roy for admitting to a charge of conduct that may be detrimental to the interests or may bring the game, the ECB, and himself into disrepute."
"Following an extensive disciplinary hearing in which all evidence was heard, The Disciplinary panel ruled that Mr. Roy should:
"(i) that he be removed from the next two England matches in which he is eligible, but that such suspension not be lifted for twelve months if a good behavior;
"(iii) Pay a fine of PS2,500 before 31 March 2022."
Roy was part the England team that won 2019 Cricket World Cup.
The limited-overs specialist, however, is not part of the current Test side in the West Indies.
