As England's bowlers struggled in the Second Test, Kraigg Brathwaite batted 489 balls.

It was a shame that Leach couldn't produce more fizzers on a pitch with a more uneven bounce and turn.

Captain Joe Root, however, will believe England can build a good lead and declare to put pressure on the home team on the last day.

Brathwaite's innings was fourth in length in terms of deliveries received by West Indies batsmen in Test history.

He was patient, or if you felt less charitable, a mega snoozefest. His determination and concentration were unquestioned by anyone.

'HIT HARD'

Joe Root shares how shock spread in England's dressing room following Warne’s death

Brathwaite bats wearing a photo of his grandparents on his chest. It's not hard to imagine England's bowlers feeling like they've aged for several years.

They failed to succeed in the First Test in Antigua, and the same has happened in Barbados.

The Kensington Oval, the site of some of the greatest fast bowling performances in history, is still a very turgid track.

James Anderson and Stuart Broad were furious at being cut from this tour, but they may be enjoying a quiet chuckle at not having such flat pitches.

Broad was sure to smile when he posted a photo on social media yesterday of him cuddling his dog!

Anderson insists that he still believes in an international future, even though he is only 39 years old.

He said on the No Passion, No Point podcast that he was excited to return to Lancashire to play for England.

"I have the passion and hunger to play for Lancashire, and that will hopefully take me to England in the summer." "As long as I feel that I can compete at the highest level, I will do it.

England's bowlers were able claim a third ball after 160 overs. The Windies continued their innings, scoring a mere two runs an over on day four.

Leach bowled more Test matches than any England bowler in this century. Although he offered good control, he should have been more aggressive.

England's only success prior to lunch was Dan Lawrence's catch in the gully that removed nightwatchman Alzarri Joe, after a 15-minute delay by a shower.

Jason Holder tried to lift Saqib Mahmood in the crowd during the first over after the interval.

Holder was unable to catch a catch at mid-on. Matt Fisher was able to hold onto the ball that was swirling in wind.

Jack Leach celebrates taking the wicket of Brathwaite

It was Mahmood’s first wicket in Test cricket - the day following his overstepping for a no ball as he bowled JermaineBlackwood.

Brathwaite's extraordinary marathon effort was finally over thanks to Leach's magic delivery that struck the top of off, pitched on the leg stump and turned.

Chris Woakes won his first wicket when he pinned Kemar Rach lbw. Mahmood also took another victim as Veerasammy Permaul had been leg before.
