JONNY BAIRSTOW insists that the fire is still burning in his belly... but it's not just down to his friendship with Mary Berry.
Baristow, 32 years old, is a symbol of the revival of England's Test cricket under skipper Ben Stokes, and coach Brendon Mcullum.
Bairstow declares that his "appetite for Test cricket for England will not cease" amid the recent good form
In-form batter, the batter, made 394 runs from 328 balls in series whitewash vs New Zealand
With an impressive 774 Test runs, he is currently second in the world. Only Usman Khawaja of Australia is better.
It was a blistering, 77 ball century from Bairstow that landed England victory over New Zealand at Trent Bridge
Then came a remarkable 130 not out of 126 balls to save the first innings and win the series at Headingly.
Former England captain Nasser Hussain interviewed the Yorkshireman about his recent form for The Daily Mail.

Bairstow stated: "That fire is always inside my belly.
"My desire to play Test cricket for England will never stop and the passion, will and desire are all there.
"You know how important it is to me, and I'm proud of that.
"All I can do is say that it's nice having the support of everyone."
Exhilarating batter was asked about the "Bazball" nickname for the new red-ball style played with McCullum as the helm.
He said, "Yes, there were some incredible times, but I think that the way we are playing cricket is really exciting.
"I hope people are grabbing my work. This is exactly what we want.
"We were inspired by cricket as children and want to inspire the next generation of players to watch and play the game."
"It's looking to be busy and shifting momentum back to the bowler.
"I didn't go out to slog or do anything. It's calculated to me."
Bairstow is England's 87th Test match against India, and was asked if he keeps an eye on his 100 caps for the national side.
"I don’t want to look too far ahead, but it’s your ambition as an infant to play 100 Tests in England. It would be a tremendous achievement if it happened.
"That would be very unique."
Berry was more than just a former wicketkeeper for the side.
On Tuesday, he filmed a television show with the ex-Great British Bake Off legend.
Bairstow said: "What a legend of a woman she is!"
"We had a lovely afternoon, and then she made us tea with wild rice, smoked salmon and asparagus. It was wonderful.
