Piers Morgan flew 5,500 miles to see England at Lord's as South Africa won the First Test on Day 3.

PIERS MORGAN'S worst fears were realized after England lost the First Test against South Africa by a batting collapse.

The Out For A Duck columnist flew 5,500 Miles from Los Angeles to see England play the Proteas at Lord's in what would have been Day Four.

Zak Crowley, the opener, scored just 13 runs before he was bowled out for LBW

Before going out in the same fashion Crowley, Ollie Pope ran five runs.

Morgan expressed concern midway through the second innings that Ben Stokes' team might not be able to play Day Four of their Test match against South Africa.

His fear was confirmed when England lost for 149 to South Africa, who won by an innings run and 12 runs.

England won the first innings with a mere 165 runs. They were able to beat their opponents by 326 runs.

England lost two wickets in the first innings and struggled with their bats at the second.

After losing his wicket for LBW, Zak Crawley's miserable season continued. Ollie Pope followed in the same manner by spinning by Keshav Maharaj.

Joe Root was quickly caught for six runs, prompting Morgan to use social media.

He tweeted, "I've just flown 5,500 from Los Angeles to Lord's tomorrow for the fourth day of the Test match."

"*There may not have been a Day 4."

England and Morgan were hit even harder when they lost all of their wickets soon after.

Jonny Bairstow was next to fall with 18 runs. Alex Lees caught 35 runs.

After Anrich Nortje had taken the wickets of Bairstow, Lees and Foakes, Ben Foakes went for a duck.

Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes were able to score a 50-run partnership. However, that was short-lived when the former scored 35 runs.

After Marco Jansen bowled Matthew Potts, Stokes was caught by Maharaj after a Kagiso Rbada delivery.

James Anderson was the last man out, scoring just one run after Jansen had bowled clean.

Morgan quickly took to Twitter to address the situation again. He simply said: "UPDATE : I won't go to Lord's tomorrow."
