Melissa hails from Cape Town and loved being back in her homeland.

The 37-year-old reflected on her new job as she posted several snaps and clips on Instagram.

The beauty also impressed as she sat on the boundary in an elegant black and white outfit.

Melissa loves going back to where she was born and she emotionally captioned her post: “My heart is so full that I got to be part of a tournament that will do wonders for South African sport moving forward.

“It’s also so heavy that I have to wave goodbye to South African T20 and my country.

“I’ve not even got on my flight yet but I have withdrawals.

“It’s hard to encapsulate just how much the last few days have meant to me personally and professionally.

“I enjoyed every second of seeing my people so in love with and engaged in cricket again.

“I have made some friends for life. Learnt loads, laughed loads more.

“The little girl on my lockscreen would be so proud of who and what she’s grown into despite all the obstacles and abuse.

“South Africa, I’ll see you soon. I hope you know I carry you in my heart and represent you with my whole chest.

“Thanks for all the love during the tournament. I appreciate every last drop of it xx.”

Cricket fans loved having her on screens, one said: “You were amazing. Keep on shining.”

Another added: “Loved the commentary and the energy you bring. Proud of you.”

A third wrote: “You make South Africa proud.”

Melissa will now return to covering the Premier League, where she recently had banter with Gary Neville live on Sky Sports.
