ENGLAND legend, Alastair Cook, was bowled clean by a 15 year-old during a match of village cricket on Monday evening.
The 37-year old, who is contracted by Essex, was featured for Bedfordshire Young Farmers CC's Heritage Cup quarter-final match against Potton Town.
Kyran Shackleton, a teenager, bowled Alastair Cook during a village match
Cook, the Essex cricket star, has retired from international cricket for 2018
Cook, one of the most important cricketers in history, is England's leading Test run scorer with 12,472 runs.
Graham Gooch's 20 year-old record of 8,900 runs was broken by him in 2015. He then retired from international cricket three more years later.
He is the fifth highest Test run scorer, and no left-handed batsman has scored more runs in the long format.
He made a good start to the innings for Bedfordshire's 12-over match against Potton, hitting three boundaries in his first 14 balls and scoring 20 runs.
Cook was then bowled clean by Kyran Shackleton, a teenager in his 15th ball. This was the highlight match.
Amazingly, Cook was not even born when he made his Test debut against India.
Shackleton was a fast bowler who was able to take four wickets in his four overs and gave away 37 runs.
Town was able to defeat the Young Farmers 26 runs better than Town.

Shackleton was praised by fans on social media. One user tweeted, "What a wonderful memory - well bowled Kyran!"
Another commented, "I want to become Kyran when I'm grown up."
Another added: "Sheesh!" He was also a pacesetter.
The supporter said, "Cook always had weakness against top-class pace bowling."
One said, "This is incredible, Kyran!" Cook's shot was terrible though.
Another simple statement is: "Class memory for a lad."
