Watch Ben Stokes fall to ‘extraordinary dismissal’ after LOSING his bat as England are hammered by Pakistan

BEN STOKES sent his bat flying as he was dismissed in remarkable fashion during England’s heavy defeat to Pakistan.

The visitors were quickly all out for 221 on day four of the Second Test in Multan, sealing a 152-run win for Pakistan to leave the series level at 1-1 heading into the final Test on Thursday.

Captain Stokes, 33, had given England a slither of hope when he hit 37 off 36 balls as the travelling fans hoped he could conjure up another all-time great innings.

But it was not to be for the Yorkshireman as he walked in rather comical fashion.

Noman Ali, who took eight wickets in the second innings and 11 in the match, lured Stokes down the wicket with a tempting delivery.

The England skipper duly obliged and attempted to send the ball out of the ground.

Instead, he failed to make any contact and lost grip of his bat in the process.

The bat went flying as Stokes was caught way out of his crease, with Pakistan wicket-keeper Muhammad Rizwan taking full advantage by stumping him to leave England seven down and effectively out.

Sky Sports described the dismissal as “extraordinary”, while ex-England captain Nasser Hussain explained how the situation unfolded.

Hussain, commentating on the match, said: “His bat went flying out of his hand.
