Who is Stuart Broad?

Stuart Broad, born June 24, 1986, is a former England cricketer.

Broad started his first-class county career at Leicestershire before returning home to Nottinghamshire in 2008.

During his 17-year glittering career, Broad’s cricketing highlights include taking 8-15 at Trent Bridge in the 2015 Ashes in one of the best-ever spells of bowling, and scoring 169 with the bat vs Pakistan at Lord’s in 2010 – long before his “Nighthawk” role.

Other career highlights included taking his 600th Test wicket against Australia at Old Trafford, blitzing India with a phenomenal hat-trick – including the wicket of MS Dhoni at Trent Bridge in 2011 on route to taking 5-5 in just 5.1 overs, and bagging 6-17 against then world No1-ranked South Africa in 2016, including a red-host spell of 5-1 in 31 balls.

After achieving sporting success, in July 2023, Stuart Broad announced his retirement from cricket.

Speaking to Sky Sports, at the time of the announcement Broad said: “Yeah, tomorrow or Monday will be my last game of Cricket.

“It’s been a wonderful ride and a huge privilege to wear the Nottinghamshire and England badge as much as I have.

“I’m loving Cricket as much as I ever have, it’s been such a wonderful series to be a part of and I’ve always wanted to finish at the top.”

Aside from the above career highlights, in 2006, he was voted the Young Cricketer Of The Year by the Cricket Writers’ Club and went on to become one of England’s greatest-ever bowlers.

In 2016, Broad was appointed a Member Of The Order Of The British Empire in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to cricket.

In December 2023, Broad was named in the New Year’s Honours list, in which he received a CBE following his retirement from the sport.

How long has he been dating Mollie King?

The couple dubbed the Posh and Becks of cricket, had dated on and off since 2012, but with Stuart travelling the world for his sport and Mollie busy as one-fifth of mega girl band The Saturdays, romance took a back seat.

The pair had first got together after he revealed he fancied her at a sponsored event.

They had the same PR company and when Stuart tore an abdominal muscle during the 2010-2011 Ashes series and was forced to fly home, Mollie sent him a get-well message.

A few months later Mollie sent him a happy birthday note, revealing that it coincided with her mum’s birthday.

The couple started dating in London in 2012 and spent New Year’s Eve together, but later split.

Five years later, the couple got back together in 2018.

On January 1, 2021, Broad got down on one knee and proposed to Mollie, with the singer and radio presenter saying yes.

Following the proposal, the pair welcomed daughter Annabella Broad in November 2022.

Who has Stuart Broad previously dated?

Stuart had previously been romantically linked to lingerie model Bealey Mitchell, whom he dated for three years.

They split in 2017, but ended on good terms as a source revealed: “They had a good innings together but it just came to a natural end.

“There were no hard feelings between the two and no one else was involved.”

Stuart has also dated Laura Coleman, who is a former Miss England winner.

He ended their ten-month relationship in February 2008, due to his cricketing commitments.
