England's star footballer was struggling to understand all the happenings

During the first Test against West Indies, he was struck with the "impingement issue".

After the surgery, which involved removing bone tissue and scar tissue, he was captured brilliantly speaking gibberish.

The Geordie comedian posted the self-deprecating clips and a photo in London's Harley Street Specialist Hospital to his Instagram account. He wrote: "Who said hospital gowns weren't cool? ?

"No more boney bits in my arm!" Thank you to Professor Roger van Riet, Mr Ali Noorani and all the staff for making me feel completely at ease.

"Langers, an England physio, videoed me getting out of the anaesthetic. - Bah! I talk some absolute rubbish!" !"

He is right.

Wood was half asleep, barely waking up after the surgery. He lay down on his back and said, "I am so chilled." Is my arm still attached? Is my arm still attached?

"I feel better. What happened?" It feels okay.

"Is it a sore shoulder? It's strange that. Although I have had elbow surgery, my shoulders are still achy. Whatever. I'll still bowl fast."

Wood told his nurse that Northern boys love gravy, Bovril and was offered a cup before asking everyone to "shake their legs as Elvis Pressley".

As he was being wheeled down a corridor, the 32 year-old Durham speed king asked his nurse: "I haven’t been anxious have you?" Are you okay?

"I am chilled. Ibiza chilled. I've never been Ibiza."

Wood will be out of action until May while he recovers. He is also doubtful for the England Test series against New Zealand, which takes place in June.

Joe Root's team's first match since losing in Grenada's ten-wicket defeat.

Wood is also out of the Indian Premier League this year, as he signed a PS735,000 deal with Lucknow Super Giants to represent him.

When asked if he was looking forward coming back in 2023 the dad-of-one mumbled, "I am so sorry. This time, I'm not [playing].

Andy Flower is a good friend of mine. He is a nice man. Keyhole. Bowen gone? Lollipop, lollipop."
