AN Indian cricket fan has tragically died aged 35 after suffering a heart attack shortly after Sunday’s World Cup final.
India were beaten by Australia at the 132,000 capacity Narendra Modi Stadium.

Software engineer Jyotish Kumar Yadav had travelled home for Diwali and was watching the game alongside family and friends.
According to The Times of India, Yadav was said to be “tense and anxious” during the match.
Although as his team took three Aussie wickets in quick succession he was claimed to be “swaying with joy” as he watched on.
Towards the end of the match Yadav is said to have complained of chest pain.
Following India’s defeat he collapsed, quickly being rushed to Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia government general hospital.
He was then declared dead by medics.
Yadav’s family have received support from the state government.
While Tirupati Urban Development Authority chairman Mohith Reddy visited his home to offer condolences.
Hosts India had stormed through the Cricket World Cup, winning all of their matches prior to the final.
They came unstuck against Australia, however, falling at the last hurdle.
After the match, fans online commented on the “awkward” trophy presentation – after Pat Cummins was left looking “lost”.
