Warner fell to the floor in pain as his teammates celebrated Travis Head's dismissal.

Vandersay was clean bowled right-handed by the spin bowler. Warner was trying to catch the loose ball at leg slip.

He made a terrible mistake of judgment as he tried to reach for the ball but, in the end, the bails flew into the area where he was most vulnerable.

As his teammates raced to Head to celebrate their wicket, he crumpled on the ground.

After realizing what had happened, the Aussie team burst into laughter.

Warner also saw the humor in the win, and took to social media immediately after the 10-wicket victory.

He tweeted his response to the clip: "Oh dear. Well bowled Heady, but my Jatz cracker."

Warner was able to continue his career despite the bizarre incident, scoring the winning runs at Galle International Stadium.

New South Wales' ace scored ten out of four balls to lead the visitors to a comfortable first Test victory.

This was Australia's fastest Test win since 2012, when it beat Pakistan in Sharjah.

However, Warner's win over Sri Lanka was not enough to make Warner's win in the nether areas the most talked about online.

One user tweeted, "Ball hits bail first, then bail hits balls." Instant Karma right in front of your eyes.

Another joked that the ball usually dislodges bail. The bail is dislodged in this instance.

Another added: "Couldn’t have happened to a better guy."

A fan of England said: "Great, great shame. Hoping the discomfort lasts only a few months."

The other messaged, "Somethings will never cease being funny." This is one of them.
